Cash Cow Slots

Ever heard the term cash cow? We bet you have. You may also have heard of the Cash Cow slot game – a fine example of how good a slot can be. The creator has packed this one with almost endless features. Are you going to be as impressed by them as we were?

An introduction to the Cash Cow slot game

The first thing you see is a farmer looking at a cow standing in wads of cash. A literal interpretation of the Cash Cow title then, but what does the game itself hold in store?

The creator of the game is…

WGS Technology, whom you might have known previously as Vegas Technology. Regardless of name, you can rely on some great features packed into this slot.

This is one demo you’ll want to try first

Our slot review is going to reveal just how in-depth this game is. However, there are plenty of features you should look at before trying to play with real coins. The demo highlights them all if you can trigger them.

A great theme

We know there is a cow involved in this game. We also know there is a farmer because we’ve seen him. Aside from those two, we find ourselves on a farm where the reels are set into the side of the barn. So, the cash cow theme works very nicely here.

A design you’re going to love

Are you going to love the design as much as the game itself? We think you might. There are plenty of details in each of the icons, with various characters involved in the progression of the game. It’s not a 3D slot, but it feels as if it should be. We’d love to see a re-release of this one to add those details.

Basic features of the Cash Cow online slot

First up, we have five reels to get spinning. You’ll very quickly see there are no progressives here, so you have only got the chance to get prizes as shown on the paytable. Fortunately, there are lots of those to try for.

The wild is a scarecrow that delivers 2,000 credits for five on a line. A second wild is shown as three piggies in a basket. This is a re-spin wild. These can appear stacked on reel two and will hold in place there – along with any winning combos – for a re-spin.

The harvest moon is used as a scatter, with between three and eight of them paying out progressively larger prizes. If you make it to the free spins feature, you can look out for two additional scatters – the bonus milk jug and the chicken wearing a chef’s hat. Yes, really!

How many paylines are involved?

There are 50 to enjoy in this game. They are fixed too, so you cannot deselect any of them.

How to place your bets

Firstly, you’ll see a sign on the left side of the barn saying, ‘coins per line’. This can be changed to say one, two, or three coins played on each line. Select the cog in the bottom right of your screen and adjust the coin value from there. You can start at one cent – giving a 50-cent minimum bet for the game – and progress to $5 per coin at most.

The cog reveals the paytable as well

Just select the paytable link from there. You should read through this first as it explains all about the various features and elements of the game.

Bonus features

We’ve explained the re-spin wild and the harvest moon scatter already. There are a couple more bonus features too though. These are accessible from the free spins feature – something we’ll shortly come to.

Once inside the free games, you should watch out for a milk jug. This may appear on any of the odd-numbered game reels. Find three of them and you get to play the Pick ‘Em Game. Choose a maximum of four milk jugs to reveal your prize. This bonus can also be triggered from the base game, but in this case it would randomly occur.

Meanwhile, the Kooky Chicken feature can also be accessed from the free games. This requires the chicken to appear on the third reel – just once. If this occurs, you’ll receive a guaranteed instant prize. This could be worth a maximum of 600 coins.

There’s a Cash Cow scatter here too, and before each spin begins a random prize worth up to 12,500 coins is displayed on the screen. Finding two, three, or four Cash Cow scatters in that spin would award you 1%, 10%, or all of the Cash Cow scatter prize shown on screen respectively.

How can you get some free spins?

There is no trigger for these; instead, they occur randomly. If they are unlocked, you play on a separate set of reels with new symbols involved. This keeps things interesting. Remember, you also get the chance to unlock the Kooky Chicken instant win feature and the Pick ‘Em Bonus.

What’s the RTP?

Our research indicates the value is set at around 96.37%.

Our rating is…

We couldn’t rank this one any less than 9.5 out of 10. We hold back on giving any slot 10 out of 10, but this gets just about as close as it is possible to get. We think it would be 10 out of 10 if it was in 3D – just a hint, WGS!

How much could winners expect to get from the Cash Cow prize?

We love the chance that exists to win a portion – or all of – the Cash Cow prize with each spin. We know there are long odds on doing this, but it sure is nice to think it might happen. We know there is a chance to get up to 12,500 coins from this. Has anyone ever done so? We haven’t heard the news, but lots of people like to keep these things quiet.

You can enjoy this one even if you’re not betting for real

The demo game is a delight to play. We loved it even though it meant we couldn’t access any real prizes. There is so much to look forward to, we think it has plenty of appeal for most players.

Playing for real is good too

Of course, it is, as there is a chance you could grab some real cash prizes. There are plenty of them around. Can you be fortunate to get some for yourself?

Cash Cow goes mobile too

WGS has made sure this game has a mobile platform to enjoy as well. If you are keen to follow this Cash Cow around no matter where you go, you’re going to be able to do just that.
